Spyros is the founder of Commit. Spyros holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of San Diego. He has worked as an IT professional for Antenna (Media Group) and Carat Hellas (Media Shop) and as freelance translator for the IT industry. In 1997 Spyros started Commit, offering localization services for the Greek market. Through the years, Spyros has developed Commit into an established and reliable player in the language services market. After 20 years at the helm of the company, in Febryary 2017, Spyros assumed the Chief Strategist position, responsible for the overall company strategy, including corporate governance and strategic collaborations.
Vasso holds an MA in Specialized Translation from the University of Roehampton, London. She completed her Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, and then attended a one-year translator training course through which she was familiarized with the principles of translation theory and CAT tools. She joined Commit in 2006 as an intern and was lucky enough to come on board two months later as a translator. Over the years, she has gone through the posts and responsibilities of translator, reviewer, Assistant PM and Project Manager. In 2014, she was assigned her current role as Operations Manager, responsible for the company's relationships with clients. Beginning Feb. 1, 2017, she has assumed the role of the CEO of the company. She has worked on a multitude of projects from various fields, including IT, technical, legal and financial, but specializes in marketing and business texts, such as corporate collateral and company policies.
She really enjoys travelling and never stops exploring new possibilities.
Effie holds a degree in Translation from the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation & Interpreting of the Ionian University, Corfu, Greece. She has a Master's degree in Tradumatica (Translation and new technologies) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain and in 2012 she obtained her second degree in Spanish language and civilization from the Ionian University in Corfu. Her working languages are Greek, English, French and Spanish. She first joined Commit in 2008 as an Assistant Project Manager and in 2012 she joined the IT/SW Localization team. In September 2013 she became a member of the Social Sciences team as a Project Manager. In 2014, she assumed the role of Customer Operations, working with the company's management and business development to facilitate and improve customer engagement and experience.
Effie enjoys travelling, reading books and watching films.
Jack directs the operation of the United States office of Commit located in San Diego, California. He joined the Commit team in 2009 to help establish the U.S. office for the company. Jack has over 25 years of experience growing business services and non-profit organizations. His focus on building trust and value in all of his professional dealings has helped Commit penetrate the U.S. market in the small to medium business space. Jack holds both a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and a Master degree in Executive Leadership from the University of San Diego. Jack serves on the faculty of the Corporate and Professional Education department at the University of San Diego. He remains active in his community serving as a soccer coach to both of his kids’ teams, as a member of the Notre Dame Academy Catholic School board of advisors and as a member of the University of San Diego Alumni Association Strategic Planning Committee.

Dina has studied translation at the Ionian University, Corfu, and also holds a degree in Modern French Literature and Language (DEUG & Licence de Lettres Modernes). After a one-year introduction in the industry with EU related translations, she joined Commit as a translator in 1998 and has worked her way up to the Project Manager and Project Coordinator positions. She is currently a Project Coordinator and has a vast experience in handling IT localization projects including, amongst others, accounts such as HP and Dell. Her experience also extends to other technological fields, such as mobile devices and new technologies with clients including Samsung, Nokia, Ericsson, LG and more.
She likes spending her free time in the countryside or watching her favourite theater performances.
Nicola holds a degree in Translation from the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting of the Ionian University, Corfu, Greece. Her working languages are English, Greek and French. She has also completed a 6-month training program in consecutive & on-site interpreting from English into Greek at the Hellenic American Union in Athens. Nicola has been with Commit since 2003, first as a translator/reviewer specializing in the IT, technical and medical/pharma industries and then as Project Manager in the same fields. In 2010 she became a Project Coordinator, organizing and heading the Life Sciences Localization department. She particularly enjoys the teamwork required for successfully completing large and complicated projects.
She likes spending her free time doing outdoor activities like hiking, tennis and swimming.
Eftychia has graduated from the Department of Languages and European Studies of the University of Bradford. She joined Commit in 2007 as an Assistant Project Manager and a year later became a Project Manager working with accounts such as Google, Lexmark, Epson and Nikon. In 2014 she assumed the role of Project Coordinator, working on a wide range of projects in industries such as technical, IT, automotive and more.
Eftychia very much enjoys smiling and laughing. This is the secret of happiness, which is also the meaning of her name.
Nikoletta holds an MSc in Scientific, Technical and Medical Translation with Translation Technology from Imperial College (London, UK), and a BA in Translation from the Ionian University (Corfu, Greece). When starting off professionally, she found herself translating pharma texts, and the medical field quickly became her passion. Having gone through different posts in Greece and in the UK within the localization industry, serving not only the medical field but also gaming and electronics, Nikoletta joined Commit in July 2015 as Project Manager in the Life Sciences localization department.
In her free time, she is a keen pilates goer, tries to keep up to date with new cinema releases, and always enjoys a good walk on the beach.
Tasos holds a BA in French Language and Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s degree in Professional Translation from Itiri, Université Strasbourg. During his studies in Strasbourg he also did his internship as translator in the European Parliament. He speaks English and French. After completing his military service as a military translator, he worked as Project Manager.
He enjoys learning foreign languages, reading historical books, playing basketball and watching movies.
Yannis holds a BA in International & European Studies from the University of Piraeus and an MA in European Law & Public Policy from Panteion University. He speaks English and German. The familiarity with foreign texts during his university years as well as his love for languages led him to the wonderful world of translation. In 2012 he attended the One-Year Translator Training Program at meta|φραση School of Translator Training. He first joined Commit in 2013 for a three-month internship. After that period, he continued collaborating with the company as a freelancer and in 2014 he re-joined Commit as an in-house translator.
In his free time, Yannis combs the Internet for translation resources, reads The Economist for vocabulary extraction, listens to music, meets with friends and watches his favorite team, Panathinaikos.
Irini is in charge of Administration/Accounting in Commit. She graduated with scholarship from the department of Hotel Management of the Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus. She worked as a receptionist at one of the largest hotel chains in Greece for four years and then joined the family of Commit. She is responsible for all invoicing and accounting procedures for Commit.
She is a mother of two children and in her free time – if any - she enjoys exercising, reading and travelling.
Eleftheria completed her studies in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens on French Language and Literature, holds a BA in Translation, Interpretation and International Studies from the Université Strasbourg II - Marc Bloch and a Master’s Degree from the National and Kapodistrian University on Children’s Literature. She enjoys learning foreign languages and she holds a CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English), a Diplôme de langue et littérature françaises (Sorbonne II) and a Diploma di Lingua Italiana (Medio). Eleftheria has worked as a Section Manager for the ATHENS 2004 Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games and at the financial newspaper Naftemporiki. She has been with Commit since 2006 and she joined the Life Sciences Localization department in 2010 as a Project Manager. She moved to her current position in 2013.
Eleftheria loves reading, writing and spending time with her family and friends.
Areti has graduated from the Department of Informatics of the University of Piraeus. She has a Master's degree in Advanced Information Systems from the same university. She joined Commit in 2007 and holds the position of IT Manager & Support. Areti speaks English (Certificate of Proficiency) and French (Delf A1- Delf A5). She oversees the administration and maintenance of the company's infrastructure and she is responsible for troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
Areti loves cooking, and especially enjoys creating desserts, reading and has a keen interest in fashion and style.
