Oct. 22, 2013 - ELIA ND in Malta and Localization World in Silicon Valley were the latest industry events attended by Commit. Specifically, the European Language Industry Association Networking Days conference took place in Malta, October 3-5. Spyros Konidaris, Commit's General Manager, and Effie Salourou, Project Manager in our Social Sciences Localization team attended the conference. Spyros was also presenting, along with Michael Oettli from nlg, about the pros and cons of LSPs specialising vs. doing it all. Spyros is also currently on the board of ELIA and Head of the ND Program Committee. A week after the ELIA ND, Localization World took place in Santa Clara in California. Jack Kelly, our US Director of Business Development, and Nadia Pandes, So. California Director of BD attended the conference in the heart of the Silicon Valley.

Commit’s U.S. operations are based in San Diego, California with company headquarters in Athens Greece. The relationship will allow WTCSD member organizations to easily access tailored translation services that can assist in strengthening their global reach.
Jun. 08, 2013 - On Friday, May 31, the 2nd Meeting for Translation took place in Athens, Greece, hosted by the Collaboration for Translation Initiative. The Initiative consists of 6 LSPs, one Translation Forum, a Translation Tools provider and a School of Translation Studies. The event included a Tips and Tricks for Translators session plus a four-speaker session about the challenges in today's environment. Commit's General Manager, Spyros Konidaris, presented about what precedes the actual translation stage, in terms of business development efforts on behalf of the LSP.
